KPIX-TV news footage from November 3 1972 with reporter Frank Goran featuring views of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Los Gatos, Santa Clara County, where Father Henry Tomei (1905-1972) was murdered yesterday afternoon in the Confessional by serial killer Herbert Mullin. Includes an interview with a priest - possibly Father Richard Howley? - who describes the character and calling of Father Tomei and asks that the killer turn himself in. Mullin went onto murder another 10 people before being apprehended by police on February 13 1973 in Santa Cruz. Mullin is still incarcerated for his crimes and was denied parole by the California Board of Parole Hearings at a virtual hearing in March 2021. He won't be eligible for parole again till 2028.
