While remote access to Library resources now requires only your University ID and password and no longer requires a Library PIN, there are still good reasons to sign in to My Account in OneSearch and update your ILLiad account to get the most from Library services on campus and off.
My Account in OneSearch
Sign in to My Account in OneSearch to see what you have checked out, renew books, check whether you have any Library fines, and more.
To sign in, you need a valid OneCard / SF State ID number and the password you use for SF State email or iLearn. Special borrowers, including Friends of the Library and Alumni Association members, will need to visit the Library once to set up or refresh their accounts so they can sign in to OneSearch.
PIN
Goodbye, Library PIN!
We no longer have a Personal Identification Number (PIN) system for students, staff or faculty. Signing in to My Account in OneSearch uses your University credentials (SF State ID and password). Guest users in the Research Commons will still have a PIN for logging in to guest computer stations.
ILLiad Account
When you need to borrow books that are not available here or from CSU+, or to get copies of articles that we do not have access to, we use ILLiad to request them from other libraries.
Guest Accounts
Members of the general public can get access to Library computers by signing up for a Guest ID in the Research Commons. Guest computers are located in the Research Commons of the Library. Use is limited to two hours each day per person.
