Discover offline summer ideas at your Library this June and July.

Build your offline summer bucket list with us!

Stop by the Offline Summer display on the first floor to discover great stuff you can get at the Library to enrich your downtime this summer: 

  • Books in paperback and hardcover 
  • Envelopes and paper to write an old-fashioned letter (just ask us at the desk!) 
  • Music on vinyl and CDs, headphones, and analog listening stations
  • CD and DVD players, plus lots of movies on DVD to check out
  • Lego sets and loose bricks 
  • Gardening kits with pots and seeds to keep 
  • Craft and zine making kits 
  • A growing collection of puzzles, classic board games, cards, and party games

Explore the strike exhibit

Learn about the SF State strikes of 1968–69 through video, photos, artwork, and documents in our new student-curated and student-designed exhibition. 

You can visit the Special Collections Gallery on the fourth floor whenever the doors are open. 

Special Collections & Archives, next door in LIB 460, is open by appointment during the summer session. To arrange a visit or learn more, email specialcollections@sfsu.edu.

 

Visit the Library this summer

During the summer session, we are open Monday through Friday and closed on the weekends.

  • Monday through Thursday: 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Friday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. 
  • Saturday and Sunday: closed 

Services at the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

For research assistance, talk to a peer mentor anytime the desk is open. You can also make an appointment to consult with a librarian of your choice online or on campus, or use our chat system to ask a librarian your questions anytime (no bots here)!
