Five menus of things you can check out from the Library

Discover the newest additions to our Library of Things, plus upcoming events and a book recommendation.

More than books — our Library of Things is here!

Pick up one of our new menus to learn about all the useful and fun things you can check out from your Library, completely free for SFSU students, staff, and faculty. 

We kept busy all winter break adding new headphones, charging cables, puzzles, and games. We’ve also extended the loan periods for items including anatomy models, headphones, and calculators, so you can keep them longer without worrying. 

Stop by the checkout desk to borrow something or find out more!

This month’s events

  • Crafternoon, Feb. 17 — Join us for button making and clay crafts from noon to 2 p.m. near the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk.
  • Song of the Stubborn One Thousand author talk, Feb. 25 — Hear from author Peter Shapiro about the Watsonville Canneries Strike from 2 to 3:15 p.m. in the Special Collections Reading Room.

  • Power up! Borrow chargers or adapters at the checkout desk, or plug into a power station in the Collaboration Studio or ground-floor Quiet Study.
  • Time to refuel? Find always-open vending machines with snacks and beverages on Floors 1, 3, and 4.
  • Watch and learn: Our YouTube channel offers tutorials on research skills, accessing free textbooks, and more!
