Music & Audio Collection
The J. Paul Leonard Library music collection provides sheet music, scores and recordings in a variety of genres in formats including CDs, LPs, and cassettes.
Using the Collection
Scores, sheet music, and anthologies of major composers and genres (musical monuments) are available for browsing on the 3rd floor (M) along with books about music (ML) and its teaching (MT). Physical media, including cassettes, CDs and LPs are housed in the Library Retrieval System (LRS), and can be requested online through OneSearch for delivery to the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk on the 1st Floor. Additional music recordings and scores are located in the Frank de Bellis Collection at Special Collections & Archives.
In addition to physical materials, the Library provides online access to a musical scores database and ebooks on music. For more information, see the list of music databases.
- To find recorded music in OneSearch, use Refine my Results to select Audio Visual, LPs, DVDs, etc. in the Format facet.
