Description
KPIX-TV news footage from January 17, 1973 with reporter Frank Goran featuring interviews with residents of Yuba City, who are waiting to hear the verdict in the trial of 38-year old labor contractor Juan Corona, accused of murdering 25 migrant workers who were found buried in peach orchards along the Feather River, in Sutter County. Also includes views of downtown Yuba City streets and storefronts and of peach orchards. Note that on January 18, the jury found Corona guilty of first-degree murder on all 25 counts charged and he eventually died in jail in 2019, aged 85. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

This 16mm color reversal film print was re-transferred in 4K (4096x2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in August 2023.
