Description
Part II of a KPIX-TV special program commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco on May 27th 1987 presented from Sherman House by Dave McElhatton and Wendy Tokuda. Includes views of a stage show with singer Tony Bennett among others singing "San Francisco." Also features scenes of Mayor of San Francisco Dianne Feinstein introducing the men who built the Golden Gate Bridge as well as commemorating the 11 men who lost their lives during the construction of the bridge. Includes the countdown for the firework lighting show and the firework display. Bill Cosby appears at the end of the program to reflect on this event with the presenters. Reporters such as Jim Bunn David Jackson and Don Bleu among many others are seen interviewing people from the crowd before and after the firework show.
