Description
KPIX-TV news footage from June 19, 1970 with reporter Mike Lee featuring scenes from the campus of UCLA, where the UC Board of Regents has just formally announced a decision not to renew the 1-year teaching contract of Acting Assistant Professor of Philosophy Angel Davis. Includes views of Angela Davis speaking at a Free the Soledad Brothers rally on campus, excerpts from a press conference by Governor Ronald Reagan who insists: "She was not fired" and interviews with Regent Fred Dutton and another man (as yet unidentified). Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
