Erotic King Kong show at the Garden of Eden

KPIX-TV news footage from January 4, 1977 with reporter David Fowler featuring scenes of a new act at the Garden of Eden topless club on Broadway. Broadway publicist David "Davey" Rosenberg is interviewed about this and Fowler quotes his press release: "Besides topless entertainment we must give the public what they want also: sensationalism, shockers, thrillers, violence and even exorcism acts." Rosenberg goes onto explain: "There's a message in the show. It makes people curious." Includes views of topless clubs on Broadway and of the Garden of Eden show, during which the marquee claims audiences will see: "The transformation of a women into a gorilla." This 16mm reversal film print was transferred in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in September 2022.
