KPIX-TV news footage from October 12, 1972 with reporter Christopher Chow featuring views of Synanon's San Francisco headquarters in Portrero Hill, where their attorney Dan L. Garrett, Jr. explains why Synanon intends to file a law suit against the San Francisco Examiner. Garrett emphasizes Synanon's need to: "Vindicate our good name," in reponse to an Examiner story published on January 13, 1972 which claimed that Synanon was actually: "The racket of the century."
