Street Artists patrol sidewalk outside The Cannery

KPIX-TV News footage from July 16, 1973 with reporter Bill Hillman featuring scenes of patrolmen hired by San Francisco's street artists to regulate foot traffic, working to reduce congestion on the block outside The Cannery at Fisherman's Wharf. Includes views of people having their portraits drawn by street artists - including Hillman. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

This 16mm film print was remastered in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in June 2022.
