KPIX-TV news footage from November 21, 1970 with reporter Pat O'Brien featuring scenes from the Monterey County Courthouse in Salinas, where 7 inmates from Soledad prison are pleading not guilty to murdering guard William C. Shull on July 22, before Municipal Court Judge William L. Stewart. Includes views of the suspects arriving at and leaving the courthouse, under heavily armed guard and in chains. The accused convicts are identified as: O.C. Allen; Jesse Phillips; James Wagner; Walter Watson; Alfred Dunn; Jimmy James and Roosevelt Williams. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
