Sheriff's Posse Search Santa Cruz Mountains For Bodies

KPIX news footage from February 25th 1973 with Bill Hillman featuring scenes from a search by the Santa Cruz Sheriff's posse for bodies in the Santa Cruz mountains, behind the UC Santa Cruz campus. Hillman states that although Herbert Mullin has been charged with many of the recent killings, there are several murdered college co-eds (with others missing and feared dead) which remain unexplained. These women were in fact murdered by serial killer Edmund Kemper, who won't finish his cycle of murders until April, when he will confess to authorities. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
