Description
KRON-TV news footage from September 1st 1970 featuring scenes from Sesame Street's first ever Cast Tour, which ran from August 31 to September 14 to promote the second season. This 40-minute live show - seen here in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park - featured the Sesame Street characters: Gordon (Matt Robinson); Susan (Loretta Long); Bob (Bob McGrath); Mr. Hooper (Will Lee) and Big Bird (played by Danny Seagren). Includes views of the cast performing onstage for large crowds and shots of parents and children running to grab a spot. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
