Description
A special edition of KPIX-TV's Ron Magers Electric Impressions - Tribute to Jack London which first aired at 7:00pm on November 21, 1970, which considers the "beginnings" of North Beach clubs like the Purple Onion and The hungry i and also the writing career of Jack London. Includes scenes featuring: a stand-up comedy routine by San Francisco State alum Ronnie Schell; a performance by The Kingston Trio; a scene from Dale Wasserman's stage version of Ken Kesey's novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at the Little Fox Theatre (with Paul Jenkins as Randle McMurphy and Drew Eshelman as Dale Harding) and a short biography of the writer Jack London, narrated by Magers.

Note: this program was immediately followed by a KPIX dramatization of Jack London's short story To Build a Fire, narrated by Orson Welles, but we don't have a copy of this footage to date.
