Description
A short KPIX promotional film reel for the Group W nationally syndicated program Ron Magers Electric Impressions from c1972. Introduced by Magers as "electronic entertainment" this compilation promo includes an interview with actor James Whitmore with scenes from his stage revue as Will Rogers and views of Tina Turner performing 'Proud Mary'. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
This film was kindly donated to us by Gary Caldwell, the son of KPIX director and producer David N. Caldwell in 2022.
This 16mm film print, derived from a videotape or live-feed source, was remastered in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in May 2022. Film shrinkage was measured in May 2022 at 0.3% and the film had a pronounced magenta hue, caused by color fading of the cyan and yellow color dye layers.
