Description
KPIX-TV news footage from September 16th 1969 with reporter Ben Williams featuring a press preview tour of the 7 million dollar Oakland Museum, which will be formally opened on Saturday 20th. Includes views of the exhibits (which we are told are still only 1/3rd completed) and the building. There are also scenes from a press conference by Oakland's Mayor John Reading, who addresses issues of minority involvement with the museum. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
