Description
KPIX-TV news footage from June 14, 1969 with reporter Ed Arnow featuring scenes from St. Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, where registered nurses are still on strike. Includes views of the nurses picket line and interviews with nurses spokesperson "Courtney", who is quick to correct Arnow's referral to the "emergency room," by pointing out: "It's called a treatment room!" and with Mr. Booth for the hospital, who explains that volunteers and supervisors are caring for patients. This 16mm b&w reversal film print was re-transferred in 4K (4096x2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in August 2023.
