Description
KPIX-TV news footage from April 11, 1977 featuring brief scenes of a vice squad raid on the Tunnel of Love at 521 Broadway in North Beach, San Francisco. Includes views of owner and President of Barone Amusement Co. Ron London (1932-1997) speaking on the phone and telling reporters he's going to head over to the office at 167 Mason Street. London was served with red light abatement orders for the Tunnel of Love and The Bunny Room at 614 Broadway. According to an article by Birney Jarvis on p.3 of the San Francisco Chronicle's April 12, 1977 edition, London apparently knew this raid was scheduled to take place at 9:00pm - but it actually happened closer to 10:00pm. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

Note that the original title for this story in the KPIX-TV news shot-log was: "Nude Bust: another encounter parlor is raided in North Beach."
