Nancy Reagan interview in Oakland

KRON-TV news footage from November 28, 1967 with reporter Ed Hart featuring scenes from an interview with Nancy Reagan, who is visiting Oakland. She's asked about the controversy surrounding her husband Ronald Reagan over a "credibility gap" and responds by reflecting on his "integrity." Reagan is also asked how she would feel about: "The prospect about being America's First Lady in 1969." Reagan laughs and replies: "I never think about it." This 16mm film reel was kindly donated to the TV Archive by David Webb Peoples in April 2023, who used to work as a film editor for KRON in the 1960s.

This 16mm negative film print was scanned in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in February 2025.
