KPIX-TV news footage from June 6, 1955 featuring brief, silent views of the Miss Oakland pageant held at Lake Merrit in Oakland. Includes views of the contestants (including Miss Elmhurst and Miss Uptown), of people in rowing boats (including Wanda Ramey) and of people swimming. Note that KPIX didn't hire Wanda Ramey until 1957, so she was not appearing here as a Ch.5 reporter. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
