Description
KRON-TV news footage from February 4th 1967 with reporter Jerry Jensen featuring scenes from the Marin County Civic Center in San Rafael, where lawmakers and residents are discussing issues relating to crime and law enforcement in the unincorporated community of Marin City. One woman describes how her home has been burgled twice and attributes the problem to resentment over gentrification. Another woman - "Mrs Scott" - feels that the real problem is the lack of strong relationships within this community. Sheriff Louis P. Mountanos talks about policing Marin City and another man complains that despite the level of lawbreaking in Marin City, no arrests have been made there over the past several months.
