Description
A KRON-TV production from 1967 presented by PG&E as an expression of San Francisco "home town pride." Includes scenes of "The Guide" (Bobby) and "The Guest" (Tony) wandering around San Francisco and taking in the sights. These include: Golden Gate Bridge; The Palace of the Legion of Honor; San Francisco Museum; Coit Tower (and views of the murals inside); a construction site; Golden Gate Park (with ducks and the Japanese Tea Garden); the DeYoung Museum; a sailing ship at dock; theatre rehearsals by The New Shakespeare Company and The Interplayers; the War Memorial Opera House; the Palace of Fine Arts; San Francisco Zoo and the California Acdemy of Science and the Planetarium. Ends with a point-of-view cable car ride. This film was written and produced by Bob Anderson and directed by Merle Ellis. It also opens with a brief introduction by the General Manager of KRON-TV Harold P. See.
