Description
Silent, color film outtakes from Agnès Varda's1968 short documentary film Black Panthers. Also features Eldridge Cleaver and Kwame Ture (aka Stokely Carmichael) being interviewed (no audio). Includes footage from August 26th, 1968 featuring a Black Panther Party rally in support of Huey P. Newton that takes place outside the Alameda County Courthouse in Oakland. Concludes with a series of shots featuring Black Panther Party members practicing marching and doing push-ups in a series of military-style training drills next to Lake Merritt in Oakland.
