KQED News report from September 14th 1973 featuring interviews with Chicano women in Oakland who advocate the need to maintain strong links with their Mexican heritage and also study the Spanish language and be bi-lingual. Includes a scene in which a Chicano Studies teacher asserts her basic human rights as a woman: "It's time that people see our value as human beings ... we're trying to find ways to express ourselves other than just in the home."
