Nuclear power Plant for Bodega Bay

KPIX-TV news report from May 7th 1963 at Bodega Bay (Sonoma County CA) featuring the start of construction by PG&E on the proposed site of a new nuclear power plant. Includes views of the construction site and an interview with a PG&E spokesman who claims neglible amounts of radiation would be released into the environment by the plant. It should be noted that after a series of local protests PG&E was forced to abandon its plans in 1964 and the plant was never built.
