KPIX News report from June 21st 1962 featuring speeches by California Gubernatorial candidates Pat Brown (incumbent) and Richard Nixon at Stanford University. Nixon points out that: "The governor and I ... both have an accomplishment that President Eisenhower has said is the only common characteristic of successful politicians. We married considerably above ourselves." Brown replies: "Let me just warn you in a most friendly way that I will not underestimate you again." Brown went on to win the election.
