Description
KPIX Eyewitness News report from December 19th 1974 by Bill Hillman featuring State Senator George Moscone's announcement he will run for Mayor of San Francisco in 1975. Includes views of Moscone meeting with people on the street and an interview in which he tells Hillman that he wants to give "people confidence that City Hall really wants to help them and that means ... making the neighborhoods feel that they play a very distinct part in the future of San Francisco." Ends with scenes from his formal announcement of candidacy at the Townehouse Hotel (with brief close-up shots of his children as he speaks).
