Description
KPIX Eyewitness News report from January 5th 1972 by Belva Davis featuring an exhibition of photographs in San Francisco depicting the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. There is a press conference with an Historical Society spokesman and Edison T. Uno (1929-76) who reflects that: "I think it's important ... Americans begin to understand and take pride in [their] legacy because if we're going to eliminate injustice and racism in this country we have to appreciate our past." Also includes views of several black & white photographs being shown in the exhibition.
