Description
KPIX Eyewitness News report from September 30th 1969 featuring a press conference in which Governor Ronald Reagan expresses his support for Operation Intercept which requires that all persons and vehicles crossing the Mexican border be searched for evidence of drug trafficking. Reagan refers to drug addiction as an "epidemic" and goes on to state his belief that the popular recreational drug marijuana is psychologically addictive.
