Description
KRON-TV News footage from August 26th 1965 featuring scenes from an interview with Judy Garland in a restaurant. She discusses the pressures of producing a weekly television show, leaving CBS and also derides the Nielsen ratings. At one point she states: "When I resigned from CBS I had to because there was just not enough time for my children or to be a human being at all, you know." It should be noted that Garland was vacationing in Northern Califoria in August 1965 and performed on-stage at the Circle Star Theater in San Carlos, CA from August 31st to September 5th. She was also interviewed on the Gypsy Rose Lee Show, which was videotaped in San Francisco and aired on August 30th. (Source - Judy Garland: The Day-by-Day Chronicle of a Legend, by Scott Schechter).
