Description
KRON news footage from April 26th 1975 with Steve Baffrey featuring scenes from the Rainbow Sign Club in Berkeley and a brief interview with Executive Director Mary Ann Pollar, who explains they need to raise $75,000 to remain in the building, by May 1st. We're also told there will be an all day marathon to try and save the center tomorrow, hosted by KDIA radio. Note that this African American cultural center was located at 2640 Grove Street, which is now Martin Luther King, Jr. Way and is currently owned and run by Berkeley's Division of Mental Health.
