Description
KRON-TV news footage from May 20, 1976 featuring scenes from a press conference with Franklyn ("Frank") K. Brann, the personal attorney of Mayor George Moscone, who answers questions about Moscone's plans to name him as the General Manager of San Francisco's Public Utilities Department and also about his income taxes. This press conference at Brann's law offices was held after The San Francisco Examiner had run a story revealing that the IRS and California State Bar had ongoing investigations into some of his business activities. Note that the 50-year old Brann, who was also a 2-time candidate for the California State Assembly, was found dead in his car two days later on a side road off Felton Empire Grade in the Bonny Doon area of the Santa Cruz mountains, of an apparent suicide. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
