Description
KPIX-TV news footage from January 20, 1973 featuring scenes from a press conference held 2 days after a jury found 38-year old labor contractor Juan Corona guilty of first-degree murder on all 25 counts charged, after a 4-month trial. Includes views of Corona's wife Gloria Corona speaking through an interpreter and of his defense attorney Richard Hawk, who claims that one of the jurors - Naomi Underwood - was influenced in her decision by a police matron. Ends with briefs shots of Naomi Underwood speaking with the press. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.

This 16mm color reversal film print was scanned in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in September 2023.
