Groundbreaking ceremony for Jackie Robinson Garden Apartments

KPIX-TV news footage from July 18, 1971 featuring brief, silent scenes from the groundbreaking ceremony for the Jackie Robinson Garden Apartments in Bayview Hunters Point. Includes views of the podium from which the main speaker Ron Dellums and others will speak and shots of the apartment plans. An article on p.2 of the San Francsico Chronicle newspaper published on July 19, 1971 by Kevin Leary stated that studio apartment rents in this complex would start at $31 and go up to $121 per month.
