Description
KRON-TV news footage from August 10, 1976 with reporter Kevin McCullough featuring scenes from the Larraburu Bakery at 365 Third Avenue in San Francisco. At 10:00am veteran auctioneer Cyrus Goldman - who recently purchased Larraburu at a bankruptcy court sale for $92,666.00 - is auctioning off all contents of the bakery piecemeal. He has also just turned down an offer of $125,000 from William Armanino and Richard Fontana for everything, insisting they must bid for each individual item like everyone else. Includes part of a press conference by William Dauer and Al Nelder and brief views of Goldman selling off the first item - a wall clock - for $10. Ends with voiceover from McCullough explaining the current whereabouts of Larraburu's "mother sourdough." Note that according to an article in the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper dated August 11 1976 on page 2, the clock was purchased by Vallejo businessman Larry Katz.
