Description
KRON-TV news footage from August 19, 1964 with reporter Ed Hard featuring a visit to "Beatlesville" in South San Francisco, which is filling up with thousands of fans, in anticipation of The Beatles playing at the Cow Palace that evening. This was opening night for their first-ever concert tour of the US. Includes interviews with excited fans, scenes of religious protestors being mobbed by happy teenagers and silent views of a Beatles rally in Union Square, which heads over to KYA Radio. Ends with a second to-camera summary from Hart (we don't know which version aired). Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
