Description
KRON-TV news footage from August 14, 1980 featuring brief scenes of American rock band Devo rehearsing their hit single "Whip It", which was released on August 13, 1980. We have no paperwork with this newsfilm but note that Devo filmed their Devo Live 1980 live album and video at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, Marin County on August 17 1980. They also played at The Warfield venue in San Francisco on August 16, 1980. These are unfortunately the only surviving 16mm film elements from this location shoot that we could find in the KRON Collection. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
