Description
Part II of a documentary special from 2002 narrated by Belva Davis about the life and death of George Lester Jackson, who gained notoriety in the fall of 1970 after his book "Soledad Brother" was published and was shot to death with 5 others at San Quentin prison on August 21, 1971 during an attempted escape. Davis tells us: "The story of George Jackson is a story of the dark side of America." Includes archival press conferences and contemporary interviews with: Allan Mancino; John Clutchette; Richard Nelson; Johnny Spain; Paul Liberatore; James Park; Georgia Jackson; Rev. Cecil Williams; John Thorne; Min Yee; Ray Procunier; Louis Nelson; Bruce Bales and Stephen Bingham. Continued from Part I, also streaming in DIVA.

This film was written, produced and photographed by Ken Swartz, edited by Stephen McConnell and the executive producer was Jim Swanson.
