Description
KPIX-TV news footage from October 28 1972 with reporter Christopher Chow featuring scenes from a large demonstration in San Francisco's Chinatown, in support of street newspaper vendor Harry Chow. Chow was beaten by anti-communists for selling literature from mainland China and then forceably arrested by the San Francisco Police Department. Ends with an interview with one of the demonstrators, who states: "Harry Wong does not speak English and he had no idea why he was being dragged away ... he was brutally beaten, he was choked and he was dragged away by, by several policemen. We feel this was an illegal arrest."
