Description
KPIX-TV news footage from December 6, 1972 with reporter Belva Davis featuring views of Unified Enterprises employees packing items featured in their line of "Raggedy Natural" Dolls and working to produce silk-screening. Includes an interview with company founder JR Evans, who according to Davis is: "Providing work for the unemployable." Clearly frustrated, Evans explains that there is public demand for their products but local stores simply refuse to stock them: "They won't even give it a chance." Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
