          Description
              KTVU News footage from 1968 featuring views of Black Panther Party (Oakland Chapter) members Bobby Seale, Eldridge Cleaver, David Hilliard and Kathleen Cleaver arriving at a packed courthouse. Stokely Carmichael is also seen with the Panthers. Includes scenes from a press conference with Bobby Seale, who explains that: "Mr Carmichael has been in constant contact and there's a merger going on with the Snick [Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee or SNCC] and the Black Panther Party for self defense, to unify black people around this country in terms of trying to liberate themselves." When a reporter points out that some people are calling Seale "racist and fascist" Seale retorts: "On the contrary ... I don't lynch white people." Ends with views of Carmichael, Eldridge Cleaver and other leaving the building, surrounded by the press.
