Murakami presented with sports convertible

KRON-TV silent news footage from August 16, 1965 featuring brief scenes of San Francisco Giants relief picher Masanori Murakami being presented with a Datsun sports convertible, during a pre-game ceremony at Candlestick Park. This event was sponsored by two Japanese newspapers: the Nichi Bei Times and Hokubei Mainichi. Note that Murakami was the first Japanese player to play in Major League Baseball and the Giants went on to beat the New York Mets 3-2 in this game. Opening graphic designed by Carrie Hawks.
