About Me

I've been the Library's Bay Area Television Archivist since I emigrated to the US in 2007 from England. I'm the son of Indian farmers and English factory workers, was the first person in my family to attend college and am proud to serve our students and community.

How I Can Help

I work on over 100 commercial projects a year with clients like CNN, HBO, and Netflix and directors such as Spike Lee, Ken Burns and Ava DuVernay. I can provide SF State students with free access to the same unique film and video resources, for class projects.

Ask Me About

  • Using archival footage to make your video project really stand out.
  • How amazing 16mm film can look, when digitized in 4K.
  • The myth of expertise.
