About this Collector

Mae Durham Roger was formerly the Librarian at the Frederic Burk School, otherwise known as the Training School of the San Francisco State Teachers College. Roger left the Frederic Burk School in about 1960 to become a lecturer at the Library School at U.C. Berkeley. Roger was a noted national expert in children’s literature, and a number of San Francisco State library faculty members learned about children’s literature from her.
