The Library Building currently has restricted access. For more information on available spaces and services, please see our Library Resources and Services Available During Fall Semester 2020 guide, or contact the Library using our 24/7 Ask a Librarian service.
OneCard/SF State ID
In order to borrow items from the Library, and to take advantage of other Library services, you must have a valid Library Card. Generally, this is your OneCard/SF State ID.
New Students, Staff & Faculty
After you get your new OneCard/SF State ID, try to sign in to OneSearch to see if your account is active. If you cannot sign in, you will need to bring your OneCard/SF State ID to the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk on the Library 1st Floor, to have your account activated.
Special Borrowers Card
Some non-SF State users may be able to request a Special Borrowers card. For more information go to the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk on the Library 1st Floor.
If Your Card is Lost or Stolen
If your OneCard/SF State ID is lost or stolen you should immediately contact the campus SF State OneCard Office in SSB 103 and Circulation Services in the Library at the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk on the Library 1st Floor. Special Borrowers should contact Circulation Services at the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk
If You Move
If you change your address, you need to update your records with SF State. Log into your MySFSU account and select "Address Change". Otherwise, you may not receive important notices sent to you by the Library. Special Borrowers should contact Circulation Services at the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk on the Library 1st Floor.
