Music & Audio Collection

The music collection encompasses recordings, scores, parts and monuments. Music recordings cover a wide variety of genres, both popular and obscure. Formats include CDs, LPs, and cassettes.

Using the Collection

Many scores and parts from the collection can be found in open stacks on the 3rd Floor of the Library. The rest of the collection is housed in the Library Retrieval System (LRS) and must be requested online through the Library Catalog for delivery to the Book Checkout & Pickup Desk on the 1st Floor.

Additional music recordings and scores are located in Special Collections and Archives.

DVDs, CDs, LPs, etc., must be checked out from Media & Equipment Distribution, Ground Floor.


Includes audio and video that spans all time periods, hundreds of thousands of seminal artists, composers, choreographers, and ensembles to provide an unparalleled learning environment for the teaching of music.
