Need a place to work on finals or take a break? Visit the Library's Wellness Room, Dec. 9 – 19.

You're invited to relax, refresh, and refuel

For the last week of classes and finals, we’re transforming the Library Events Room (LIB 121) into a Wellness Room for you with the help of our campus partners.

Starting Monday, Dec. 9, you can:

  • Grab a free snack to keep you going
  • Color or make a bracelet or collage
  • Work on puzzles
  • Play a board game with friends
  • Lock in for a study session
  • Find out about campus resources

Plus, the Library is filled with people who are here to help: 

  • Peer mentors at the Book Checkout & Pickup desk can help find books, articles, and more.
  • SF State librarians offer in-depth research assistance by appointment — or you can drop in and work with us at the desk from noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. 
  • A 24/7 network of librarians helps us answer your questions via live chat. No robots, we promise!

Don't forget that all SF State students can get free tutoring and other support from the Tutoring and Academic Support Center (TASC) . Visit the TASC office in LIB 220 on the second floor or explore the online options.

The Library stays open later for finals

Visit the Wellness Room during our extended hours leading up to finals and during exams (Dec. 8 – 19):

  • Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. – midnight
  • Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, 12 – 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, 12 – 9 p.m.

The first and second floors of the Library and the Study Commons in the basement (ground floor) will also stay open until midnight Monday through Thursday between Sunday, Dec. 8, and Thursday, Dec. 19.

Tea Time Out, Finals Edition

  • Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1 – 3 p.m. (or while supplies last)
  • Outside Student Services Building 
  • Take a break to experience the wellness benefits of tea and grab some self-care supplies, resources, and study snacks for finals! Hosted by HPW

Let’s Talk Meetings

  • Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – noon and 1 – 2 p.m.
  • Online and around campus; check locations and times on the CAPS website
  • Register on myHealth
  • Let's Talk is informal, confidential, completely free and available to all SF State students, and no topic is off limits. It is a brief meeting where you can talk about concerns and receive expert suggestions about solutions and resources — or just have someone to listen and offer support. 

Grab N’ Go Stress Less Supplies

  • Monday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • HPW office (Village at Centennial Square, 750 Font Blvd., Ste. 5000)
  • Stop by to see what free wellness resources and kits are on offer to support stress relief during finals!
