Placing Items on Reserve

For faculty members who want to put physical or digital materials on reserve for their students, there are several options:

Physical Course Reserves

Accessibility

Patrons with a disability who need a longer loan period for physical course reserve materials should contact Disability Programs and Resource Center (DPRC) at dprc@sfsu.edu or at (415) 338-2472 to arrange accommodations with us on your behalf.

Electronic Materials

  • Embed links to articles and books available electronically directly into iLearn
  • Scan and upload materials into iLearn
  • For help scanning materials for electronic reserve in iLearn, please contact the Digital Scholarship Center staff. They can be reached at libdsc@sfsu.edu or at (415) 338-1881
  • For help with iLearn send an email to ilearn@sfsu.edu, call (415) 405-5555, or use the built in chat in many iLearn courses.

Accessibility

To ensure accessibility of scanned materials, submit your scanned materials to the Accessible Media Quick Converter, an online service designed to produce simple and quick file conversions from PDF and MS Word files into accessible formats, including audio files.
