Description
KPIX-TV news footage from April 2, 1974 with reporter Pat O'Brien featuring the shooting of Salvation Army cadets Tom Rainwater and Linda Story at Geary and Webster in San Francisco on April 1. Rainwater was killed and Story survived. Includes brief views of the crime scene, the area in which it happened and interviews with a police detective and Salvation Army officer. This attack was attributed murder to a group of Black Muslims called the Death Angels and this series of murders in San Francisco during 1973/4 came to be known as the Zebra murders. This 16mm color reversal film print was scanned in 4K (4096 x 2970) using a Lasergraphics ScanStation film scanner, in March 2024.
